Can you tell me about your business?
We are a professional automotive detailing shop that offers a variety of automotive appearance preservation and protection services. Some of our services include - hand washing, exterior waxing/sealants, ceramic coatings, paint correction, interior detailing, steam cleaning, engine detailing and so much more.
Where are you located?
We are located at: 2040 Walnut Street, in Murphysboro. One block past Hucks and across the street from Whiffle Boys Pizza.
How long have you been in business?
We just celebrated 15 years in business. We opened in May 2008.
Are there more Allied Automotive Brokers & Detailing LLC locations?
Allied Automotive Brokers & Detailing LLC is not a franchise. It is locally owned and is only in Murphysboro, but serves clients throughout Jackson County and surrounding towns.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (give or take) plus the occasional Saturday (read the entire job description for more information).
I have another job can you work around that schedule?
No. We respect the hustle but need someone who can fulfill the job description's outlined hours. We encourage supplemental employment but outside the hours we require.
I’m in school will you work around my school schedule?
No. We are huge advocates of education but we need someone who can fulfill the hours outlined in the job description.
Will I be required to wear a uniform?
Yes, sort of, a company shirt plus coordinating shorts and/or pants and slip-resistant shoes.
Do you offer benefits?
Not necessarily but we do offer some perks and as soon as we can yes we will offer traditional benefits within reason.
Do I need a driver's license?
Yes, a driver's license is required to work as an automotive detailer at Allied Automotive Brokers & Detailing LLC. You must be able to legally & safely move vehicles when necessary.
Can I email you my resume to apply for a position?
No, but you can attach it to your completed application.
Can I complete the application online?
No, we do not have an online application you must print and complete the application by hand.
I don’t have a printer or access to one can I pick up an application?
Yes, you may come in to pick up your application, but please do not pick up an application before reading the ENTIRE job description to ensure you understand the requirements and expectations for working at Allied Automotive Brokers & Detailing LLC. Do I have to love cars or know how to work on them?
No, we will teach you how to detail regardless of your experience level and that doesn’t require knowing how to repair a car or loving cars.
I’ve never detailed before how do I know I would be a good fit/candidate.
We prefer little to no experience but the ideal candidate is attentive to details in everyday life - they notice the cleanliness at restaurants, hotels, and other businesses, are organized & tidy, are very observant, and aspire to do excellent work in everything they do.
What professions are suited to be detailers?
Housekeepers, landscapers, carpenters, painters, etc. Most importantly the perfect candidate to be a professional automotive detailer is someone that strives for excellence in whatever they do - all of the time.
